« Le Synode général de l’Église anglicane du Canada a rejeté une motion visant à modifier sa définition du mariage pour reconnaître le mariage entre personnes de même sexe. »
La motion proposait de supprimer la définition du mariage comme « l’union d’un homme et d’une femme ».
Pour être adoptée, elle devait recueillir les deux tiers des votes des trois ordres de délégués au synode, évêques, prêtres et laïcs. »
